Mediante la utilizacion de sensores remotos, la deteccion, registro y analisis de las alteraciones ocurridas en el comportamiente espectral de la cobertura vegetal, permitem caracterizar y evaluar el estado nutricional y fitosanitario de las plantas, detectando incidencias de plagas y enfermedades e inferir posibles carencias nutricionales. En el trabajo se comprueba que el estudio de la reflectancia en la region del infrarrojo cercano permite detectar eficazmente el inicio de danos al producirse cambios en el comportamiento espectral de las plantas. Esta aplicacion permite uma deteccion mas temprana de los danos, pues el ataque de enfermedades o plagas puede ser detectado incluso antes de que la planta presente sintomas visuales de deterioro.

Diallelic analysis for lysine and oil contents in maize grains Scientia Agricola

Six S5 lines of maize, with differences for lysine and oil contents in grains, were used to carry out a complete series of diallelic crosses. The resulting 15 hybrids were grown in a field at two nitrogen levels (10 and 130 kg N ha-1). The general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) were obtained by using the method 4, model I of Griffing for grain yield, and grain lysine and oil contents. Significant (p < 0.001) interaction was observed between GCA and N levels for grain yield, indicating the selection of different lines for each N level. This interaction was not significant for lysine content, but there were significant effects of GCA for this trait at both N levels (p < 0.1). Significant effects were not observed for GCA...

The objective of this work was to evaluate the use of multispectral remote sensing for site-specific nitrogen fertilizer management. Satellite imagery from the advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer (Aster) was acquired in a 23 ha corn-planted area in Iran. For the collection of field samples, a total of 53 pixels were selected by systematic randomized sampling. The total nitrogen content in corn leaf tissues in these pixels was evaluated. Usefulness of near infrared reflectance (NIR) spectroscopy and chemometrics to discriminate between fishmeal, meat meal and soya meal samples Ciencia e Investigación Agraria

Near infrared reflectance (NIR) spectroscopy was used in combination with chemometrics to discriminate between fishmeal, meat meal and soya meal samples. Samples were obtained from commercial feed miles and scanned in the NIR region (1100 - 2500 nm) in a monochromatic instrument in reflectance mode. Principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis were used to classify samples based on their NIR spectra. Full cross-validation was used in the development of classification models. Partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) correctly classified 85.7% of the fishmeal samples and 100% of the meat meal and soya meal samples.
